Black metal news from Norway. Mork, Thomas Eriksen's one-man project, finished the European tour that Peaceville Records billed as a "headline" run, playing from 9 to 25 October. The pieces covering the tour call it Mork's first European headline tour (meaning the band's name sat at the top of the poster). That "first" comes from the label's own announcement. The special guest was Soulburn, from the Netherlands.

The tour ran 17 nights straight, without a single day off on the calendar. It opened at Iduna (Drachten), passed through Hamburg, Ostrava, Basel, Milan, Salzburg, Nova Gorica and Lyon, and closed at Samhain Fest in Maastricht. (The Ronse and Maastricht nights were festival stages, so strictly speaking they don't count as club shows.)

Now for the video. The "Skrømt" clip, timed to land with the start of the tour, was shot by Matt Vickerstaff and went up on YouTube through Peaceville. The track is the fourth song (5:06) on Monolitt, the album released on 19 June 2026. The critics treated the album well: Distorted Sound gave it 8 out of 10, Metal Epidemic 5 out of 5. Nobody came out swinging against it.

The calendar doesn't stop there. In January 2027 Mork plays HardMetalFest in Mangualde, Portugal, though the day hasn't been announced yet. Current dates are at morkisebakke.no/tour.
