Watain at Mystic Festival 2027

Sweden's Watain are heading to Gdańsk. Mystic Festival's official site has added the band to its line-up. The festival runs on 10-12 June 2027, three days in all. The venue changes this time too. The festival is leaving the Gdańsk Shipyard and moving to the meadows (Błonia) at Polsat Plus Arena in Letnica. Watain's day and stage time haven't been announced yet.
The band was formed in Uppsala in 1998 by Erik Danielsson, P. Forsberg and H. Jonsson. Their latest album is 2022's The Agony & Ecstasy of Watain (Nuclear Blast). But the real weight of this news lies elsewhere. In September 2025 the band announced that their eighth studio album will be their last. It comes out in 2028, the band's 30th year, and after that Watain will split up. The festival isn't selling this show as a farewell gig. Then again, if you know the band only has so many shows left, this trip to Gdańsk is no longer just another festival plan.
On to the tickets. The three-day Blind Bird pass is 829 PLN and the three-day VIP pass is 1,399 PLN (a service fee is added to both, and VIP passes are limited to available stock). The later price tiers haven't been set yet. The festival's first headliner is Faith No More. If you want to see Watain, get your ticket early.
